The combination of properties such as high rigidity with low weight and high energy absorptions assets makes AFP suitable especially for light buiding components in the automotive, aircraft and railway engineering.
- Strength: A ton of AFP holds 20 times more than a tonne of steel.
- Stiffness: For bending a ton of AFP 36 fold of force is needed compared to a tonne of steel.
- Fire behavior: AFP does not burn unlike classic aluminum.
